JANJGIR CHAMPA: The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has awarded the National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS – National Quality Assurance Standard) certificate to Janjgir District Hospital of Chhattisgarh for excellent health services. The hospital has also been awarded quality certificates under the LaQshya and MusQan programs for better maternity facilities and paediatric services.
The Union Health Ministry team had inspected the Janjgir District Hospital last June and tested the quality of services available to the patients. The team also took feedback from the patients, an official communication said.
The hospital has received 90 percent marks in the evaluation by the team of the Ministry of Health under the 'NQAS' programme. National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate has been issued to nine departments of A&E, OPD, IPD, OT, Blood-Bank, Lab, Radiology, Pharmacy and General Administration.
In the 'LaQshya' programme, 92 percent marks have been obtained in the evaluation of the labour room and 90 percent in the evaluation of the maternity OT.
Under the 'MusQan' program for paediatric services, quality certification of Paediatric OPD, Paediatric Ward, NRC and SNCU of the hospital has been done. In their evaluation, the hospital has got 79 percent marks.
The key parameters for NQAS parameters include services available, patients' rights, inputs, support services, clinical services, infection control, quality management and outcomes.
