RAIPUR: Kaanger Valley Academy continues its tradition of fostering student excellence and honing their innate talents, as in a remarkable display of flair and commitment, scholars achieved outstanding results in a diverse range of inter-school events, bringing home accolades and recognition.
Vamika Jain and Vanshika Saraowgi, class X, were declared as the Champions of Science Working Model Competition 2.0 held at Kalinga University on Saturday, October 14, 2023. They bagged the first prize and a cash award of ₹15,000 for their winning model, a Multiutility Electricity Generator, which stood out for its innovative approach in generating electricity through cycling, promoting sustainability and conservation of natural resources.
Adding another feather to its hat, in the fiercely competitive atmosphere of the Mindspark, the Inter-School Competition hosted by Brighton International School, Samriddhi Rampuria from XI Commerce won the Best Debater Trophy. Samriddhi passionately articulated her stance that digital payment is not a convenient solution but a dangerous trap, emphasising the importance of understanding the risks associated with digital payment methods in today's digital age.
In addition to the debate success,the KVA Double Wicket Cricket team, though narrowly defeated in the semifinals, displayed remarkable sportsmanship and resilience throughout the tournament.
On the following day, 15th October 2023, Sunday, KVA had a remarkable performance in multiple competitionsat the "AMICIZIA 2023" inter-school competition hosted by Amity International School in New Raipur. First, the KVA Athletic 4×100 Relay Race Team achieved the highest honour by clinching the first position and securing a Gold Medal. The victorious team members, Jaskaran Singh, Rudra Agrawal, Nikita Kanwar, and Kirti Kashyap, showcased exceptional teamwork and athleticism, earning them the top spot in the competition.
Then, the Kho-Kho girls' team from class-X displayed exceptional skills and secured a Silver Medal. The dedicated team members who contributed to this achievement included Nikita Kanwar, Nandini Netam, Padmini Kanwar, Soumya Tandon, Vedika Harbansh, Kirti Kashyap, Vidhya Netam, Preeti Mandavi, Muskan Sidar, Bhumi Anant Vibha Mahilange, and Homika Bhagat.
Furthermore, the school's debate team, represented by Tiya Bais and Kinjal Agrawal, secured the second position in the Azaad Aawaz Debate Competition at Amity International School. Their thought-provoking debate focused on whether the usage of crackers should be banned in India. KVA's performance in these events reflects their excellence in sports and intellectual pursuits.
The principal, Abijit Das, expressed his recognition of the unwavering dedication and outstanding abilities of the students, who consistently excel across various platforms.
