CG NEWS: SEC Thakur Ram Singh retires, given farewell

Raipur (C.G.): Chhattisgarh State Election Commissioner Thakur Ram Singh has retired and was given farewell by the staff on Wednesday. He has been the longest tenure as Election Commissioner in Chhattisgarh as his tenure as extended several times.

Secretary Qaiser Abdul Haq said that even during his short tenure as Secretary of the Commission, he got to learn a lot from Singh. Dedication towards work, taking responsibility to complete the work and punctuality are such qualities of Singh's personality which add to his calm and gentle personality.

Shri Singh has always been taking right and tough decisions during his administrative tenure. Even in the State Election Commission, he has always been handling important tasks like elections easily with his experience. He said, “Now after retiring as Commissioner, it is my prayer that he remains healthy, happy and long life.”

Deputy Secretary Deepak Aggarwal said, “I got the opportunity to work with Singh not only in the State Election Commission but also in the two districts Bilaspur and Raipur when he was posted as Collector and it was always comfortable to work with him because he was steadfast and worked with full effort. He always remained simple and straightforward and gave opportunity to his subordinates to work with full responsibility.”

Deputy Secretary Ankita Garg, Under Secretary Alok Srivastava, Pranay Verma, along with other officers and employees also wished him.
