Raipur, Chhattisgarh: On the initiative of Chhattisgarh Finance Minister OP Chaudhary, Ease of Doing Business cell (EODB) has been created at the State Tax Headquarters Raipur.
It would provide convenience of administrative work and facilitate the taxpayers.
The cell will also work to solve the problems of new businessmen facing issues in GST registration. ‘EODB’ cell will be under Joint Commissioner, State Tax along with his present duties.
The cell will function for issuing FAQs/clarifications on various topics for the convenience of businessmen/taxpayers and organizing training/seminars/workshops on such topics for all stakeholders like departmental officers/taxpayers/business organizations which are necessary for EODB.
The work of EODB includes preparing the outline of ‘Green Corridor’ project for the identified big tax payers/composition taxpayers and organizing programs for taxpayer awareness and publicity of the efforts being made by the department. Apart from it, a web page/application has to be prepared and kept updated for the presence of the department on social media.
