Chief Vigilance Officer (NTPC Limited) reviews NTPC Lara

Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India: V K Adhana Chief Vigilance Officer (NTPC Limited) reviews Lara Super Thermal Power Station at Raigarh on 17-18th March 2024. On this occasion Adhana visited Talaipali coal mine, the captive coal mine of NTPC which is linked to the Lara plant by Merry-go-round system. Later-on, Adhana visited the main plant control room, turbine hall and boiler and interacted with power engineers and understood the entire chain of power generation.

On this occasion Adhana chaired a review meeting with Akhilesh Singh, Head of Project, general managers, senior officials and engineer-in-charge of various contracts. Addressing the participants, Adhana stressed on preventive and corrective vigilance mechanisms. He also discussed with young executives and gave a brief idea on the role of vigilance for development of an organisation. In his visit to review the Merry-go-round system of Lara station in a small programme Adhana, distributed tricycles to differently abled people of near-by villages. He witnessed the coal transport system of Lara station by its dedicated electrified meri-go-round track. It is the first fully electrified MGR system of NTPC Limited which is 65 KM long connecting Lara station to Talaipali coal mine and is an engineering marvel. This rail line has crossed over Indian rail, big rivers, forest, and hill areas. All possible measures have been taken carefully to maintain ecological balance for a sustainable development.

On this occasion Rajeev Ranjan, GM (Operation & Maintenance), Ravi Shankar, GM (Project), SK Swain, GM (Fuel Management), Pankaj Sekhar, AGM (Vigilance), Himanshu Behera, DGM (HR), Manish Kumar, (Central Vigilance Office) and senior officials of NTPC Lara were present.
