RAIPUR,CG: To speed up the works of the Public Works Department, Government of Chhattisgarh new guidelines have been issued on the tender.

The executive engineer will have to certify that 90 percent free land is available for the work of road and bridge construction before issue of tender.

Tenders can be invited only if the entire land for the construction of the building is free from any encumbrance. If these are not followed properly, disciplinary action will be taken against the concerned officer.

The PWD circular issued to all the Executive Engineers, it has been asked that before inviting the tender, the Executive Engineer will have to certify that 90 percent of the total length of the proposed road for road construction is free from obstructions. The obstacles like land acquisition, forest land diversion and utility shifting in 90 percent length has been completed. The process of making the remaining 10 percent land obstacle-free will be completed in 180 days. The department has given instructions to proceed with the tender invitation only after 100 percent uninterrupted land is available for the construction of the building.

It has been said in the circular that the process of inviting tender should be done only if 90 percent of the length of the approach road for bridge works is free from obstacles. The Executive Engineer needs to certify it. In special cases, the government will take a decision.
