Union budget pro-poor: Jhadav

BILASPUR: Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Prataprao Ganpatrao Jhadav said the central government has prepared the budget keeping in mind the poor, farmers, women and youth. Steps have been taken for the betterment of all sections.

He was in Bilaspur to have discussion with intellectuals on the Union Budget 2024 and the event was held at Bilaspur Circuit House Auditorium.

Explaining the details Jadhav said timely development and social justice have been specially kept in mind in the priority of the budget. In the last decade, the budget amount has increased 3 fold. Special care has been taken, as a result, a target has been set to make three crore women of the country Lakhpati Didi. Provisions have been made to provide a scholarship of Rs 5,000 every month to the youth of the country under the Self-reliant Skill Development Scheme.

On Chhattisgarh, he said an amount of about Rs. 60,000 crores, has been made. Many schemes have also been prepared in the field of railways, which will be seen in the near future. 3,163 kilometers of national road construction work has been done in Chhattisgarh, Raipur. There are plans to start work on other routes including Visakhapatnam. Exports are also being promoted in the agricultural sector. This will benefit the farmers of all 35 districts of Chhattisgarh state.

Jadhav attacked the opposition for provoking people and telling lies which will do no good to the country.

Former minister ad Bilaspur MLA Amar Aggarwal said the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has continuously communicated with the people of the country, including women’s groups, students, businessmen, farmers, and various sections of the society that directly and indirectly influence the country’s economy. Their participation in power has to be ensured in the public mind. The budget will be helpful in making the country the third largest economy in the world.

Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal also addressed the conference.
