RAIPUR,CG: Agricultural engineers will gather on the topic ‘Contribution of agricultural engineers in improving the rural economy for sustainable development’ at 36th National Conference and National Seminar from August 29 to 30, 2024 at Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Raipur.
The two-day national conference cum seminar will be inaugurated by Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh on August 29 at 10:45 am in the new auditorium (Krishak Auditorium). Ramvichar Netam, Minister of Agriculture Development, Farmers Welfare and Biotechnology in Chhattisgarh Government will preside over.
Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Dr. Girish Chandel, Chairman of Central Ground Water Board, Government of India, Dr. Sunil K will be present as special guests.
The event is being organized under the joint aegis of the Institution of Engineers (India), Chhattisgarh State Centre, Raipur and Swami Vivekananda Agricultural Engineering and Technology College and Research Centre, Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Raipur.
There will be detailed discussion on multiple topics relevant to the development of agriculture in the present times like conservation and management of engineering inputs, farm machinery, agro-processing and value addition, non-conventional energy sources, soil, water conservation and management and research papers will be presented. These mainly include mechanization of agriculture from ploughing-sowing to harvesting, weeding and processing, use of drones, use of remote sensing and geographical information system, use of cutting-edge technologies in agriculture and horticulture such as Artificial Intelligence Robotics and I.O.T. There will be meaningful dialogue, demonstration, presentation and exchange of ideas on topics like use of technology.
