RAIPUR,CG: Applications have been invited in the prescribed format from the best players of the state till September 25, 2024 for Gundadhoor and Pravir Chandra Bhanj Deo Award for the year 2024-25. Applications and recommendations of players in the prescribed form can be submitted to the Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Hockey Stadium, G.E. Road, Raipur or in the District Offices of Sports and Youth Welfare on official days and timings.

The players selected for Gundadhoor Samman and Pravir Chandra Bhanj Deo Samman will be honored with Rs 1 lakh each in cash, decoration plaque and citation. For both of these honours, players who have won a gold medal, silver medal or bronze medal while participating on behalf of Chhattisgarh in the senior category national championship or national games or have represented India in an international sports competition will be eligible for the honour.

Pravir Chandra Bhanj Deo Samman is given in the field of archery and Gundadhoor Samman in any sport is given to the players who perform best in national and international competitions from Chhattisgarh. The year for the award will be counted from April 01 to March 31, the financial year.
