GARIABAND,INDIA: Chhattisgarh Governor Ramen Deka held a meeting with district-level officers in the Gariaband Collectorate Hall to review the progress of various government schemes. During the meeting, he discussed health, education, employment, nutrition, and other public welfare initiatives. The Governor called for effective implementation of these schemes and sought detailed updates from the officials.
Collector Deepak Agarwal briefed the Governor on the district administration's efforts and activities. The Governor stressed the need to improve healthcare services by organizing health camps, blood donation camps, and other initiatives under the Red Cross. He also highlighted the importance of addressing drug abuse through continuous campaigns and vigilance.
Governor Deka emphasized empowering women through self-employment and livelihood-based activities such as animal husbandry and fish farming, suggesting that these efforts could lead to skill enhancement and economic development. He also recommended engaging school children with the National Cadet Corps (NCC) to instill discipline and time management skills.
Later, the Governor visited the Gariaband Livelihood College, where he interacted with trainees participating in skill development programs. He inquired about the training's benefits and encouraged the youth to utilize these programs to enhance their skills and future opportunities.
