CG: Ensure a triple-engine government: CM

RAIPUR,INDIA: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai on Friday urged BJP workers to ensure a triple-engine government by securing victory in the upcoming urban body elections.

Addressing a massive workers' conference at Indoor Stadium, Raipur, he called for a sweeping victory of Meenal Choubey, BJP’s mayor candidate for Raipur, along with all 70 ward councilors.

Sai highlighted BJP’s strong momentum, citing the unopposed victory of BJP’s president candidate in Basna Nagar Panchayat, along with two municipal corporation and 20 Nagar Panchayat councilor seats. He emphasized the party’s commitment to development, detailing recent foundation stone laying and inauguration of projects worth ₹200 - 700 crores per district, totaling over ₹7,000 - 8,000 crores for urban bodies.

On welfare schemes, Sai said 1.87 lakh women in Raipur are benefiting from Mahtari Vandan Yojana, and ownership cards have been issued to 61,000 people under the PM’s land rights initiative.

Taking a dig at Congress, he mocked their Dhamtari mayor candidate’s nomination rejection, stating, “Dancing is not known, the courtyard is crooked.” He accused Congress of corruption in liquor, coal, sand, DMF, and Mahadev App scams, asserting that PSC recruitment scandals ruined youth careers and led to CBI investigations.

Sai listed BJP’s achievements in 13 months, including PM housing approval for 18 lakh families, ₹3100 per quintal paddy price, 21 quintals per acre paddy purchase, two-year pending bonus clearance, and increased tendu leaf prices. He promised comprehensive urban body improvements across the state.

"Reply to Words with Words, Bullets with Bullets" – CM Sai on Naxalism

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai reaffirmed the state’s tough stance against Naxalism, praising security forces for recent Naxalite surrenders in Bastar division.

Sai stated that seven Maoists with a combined bounty of ₹32 lakh surrendered in Kanker, following 27 in Narayanpur and 9 in Sukma (₹52 lakh total bounty). He credited the government’s surrender policy and security operations for this success.

Since BJP took office, 941 Naxalites have surrendered, 1,112 arrested, and 265 eliminated in encounters. Sai noted that disillusionment with Maoist ideology and government rehabilitation efforts are driving surrenders.

He assured continued development in Naxal-affected areas through the 'Niyad Nella Nar' scheme, announcing 15,000 PM Awas approvals for surrendered Naxalites and affected families.

Sai concluded that Maoist terror will soon end, bringing peace and stability to Bastar.
