RAIPUR,CG,INDIA: Bahadur Ali, Managing Director of IB Group, shared details about the upcoming poultry conclave, in a press meet held at Press Club Raipur, stating to be the largest of its kind in the country. Present alongside him were company director Zoya Afreen Alam and other senior officials.
Ali emphasized that the core vision behind organizing the conclave is the idea of living in villages and ensuring their development. The event will bring together poultry traders and farmers from across India. He credited the growth of IB Group to the support of these individuals and stressed that their progress is central to the company’s mission. “Our goal is to build a developed poultry nation by 2035, which will help eliminate protein deficiency and promote financial well-being,” he said.
He also highlighted the company's commitment to social welfare. IB Group, through initiatives like Asmita Yojana aligned with the state’s Lakpati Didi scheme, is empowering rural women by training them in poultry farming. Children of employees who lack access to education are also being supported to secure a better future.
Responding to media queries, Ali mentioned that sarpanches from ten villages have been invited to start poultry units in their areas, creating local employment and fostering rural development. He noted that each poultry unit can offer work to 300–500 villagers, especially women, reducing migration and boosting local economies.
On nutrition, he discussed the promotion of soy-based “velocity protein” products and expressed hope that Chhattisgarh could become India’s first protein hub.
Ali also spoke about the company’s efforts in farmer training. Unlike others, IB Group supports rural poultry farms through education and skill development. Currently holding a 20% share in India’s poultry sector, IB Group aims to expand to 50% in the coming years.
Looking ahead, Ali predicted a shift in Chhattisgarh’s agriculture, with maize gradually replacing paddy as the preferred crop due to its lower water needs and better profitability.
