RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh Parliamentary Secretary and MLA Raipur West Vikas Upadhyay on Tuesday said children should pay attention to sports along with studies.
He was addressing the concluding and prize giving ceremony of 22nd Chhattisgarh State Level School Sports Competition 2022-23 held in premises of a private school in Raipur.
He said children need to balance their sports with studies. Along with physical development, mental development is also necessary.
Raipur Rural MLA Satyanarayan Sharma said participation in sports helps for building social contacts and platform for developing balanced personality. Sports help to develop the spirit like discipline, patience, unity, alertness and healthy competition. It provides the players inspiration to set their life goals.
The event was participated by five zones of Chhattisgarh namely Bastar, Bilaspur, Surguja, Durg and Raipur. The event commenced on October 1 with 1,520 participants. Raipur division was declared as the overall champion.
