RAIPUR: Kidney transplant surgery and brain angiography has been brought under purview of Dr. Khoobchand Baghel Health Assistance Scheme by Government of Chhattisgarh. Many high-end medicines have also been included along with new packages related to heart diseases, complex spine surgeries and blood disorders, an official communication said. The rates of general beds, high dependency unit (HDU) and intensive care unit (ICU) beds have been hiked for treatment in registered hospitals. The Health and Family welfare department, Government of Chhattisgarh had sent regular proposals to the National Health Agency to revise the rates of treatment packages and include new packages. A new package of Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAD) has been added for the patients of Chronic Renal Failure. The patients can get CAPD bags for a month from the identified government hospitals. Renal/Kidney Transplant surgery including immunosuppressive treatment has been included. The patients will be provided with donor nephrectomy and transplant surgery as well as essential medicines to be taken for one year after the transplant. It includes high-end medications. Digital Subtraction Angiography (Brain Angiography), heart diseases, complex spine surgeries and treatment of certain blood disorders are also included in the treatment under the scheme. Under the scheme, the rates of hospital beds have been increased. The general wards have been hiked to Rs 2100 per day, HDU to Rs 3,300, ICUs without ventilators Rs 8,500and with ventilators Rs 4,500 per day. Similarly, the health department has hiked the rate of both acute and chronic hemodialysis to Rs 2,200 per session. Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana has been renamed in state as Dr. Khoobchand Baghel Health Assistance Scheme.
