Chhattisgarh’s young engineer locally builds CNC

RAIPUR: A young engineer of Chhattisgarh under ‘Make in Chhattisgarh, has built the Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine, which has drawn a crowd during Rajyotsava 2022 exhibition underway at Science College ground, here.

Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society (CHiPS) Chief Executive Officer Ritesh Agrawal on Thursday said that young innovator and engineer Aditya B has built an innovative Computer Numerical Control machine (CNC) through startup 36Inc Centre funding.

Agrawal further said that the uniqueness of the machine is that it takes data from a computer and with the help of a laser, prints the desired design on many surfaces like wood, glass, and plastic. With the help of laser centering, any desired shape can be created with absolute precision without any craftsman.

Aditya B said that these machines are now being manufactured locally. The response at the Rajyotsav 2022 has been good so far. Different traders of the state have booked 16 machines.

Agrawal said CHiPS has been funding the startups of youth of the state mainly innovations for agriculture and rural areas, through 36Inc Centre.

It includes knowing the actual status of the movement of wild elephants using high techniques and providing assistance to the competent department to take appropriate steps, testing the soil and informing them on mobile, works related to agriculture such as assessment of pest outbreaks, insecticides, he said.

The spraying of pesticides and insecticides has been done by drones. Apart from startups based on cutting edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Internet of Things (IoT) and Blockchain are being promoted, he added.
