RAIPUR: On the occasion of Founder’s Day (15th Nov., 2022), there was a keen competition among Aryans, Bikrams, Rajputs and Ranas of Rajkumar College Raipur (C.G.) for the Inter Set Athletics Competition, 2022. Rajputs set emerged as the winner of the Annual Inter Set Athletics for the coveted Hindol Athletics Cup presented by Raja Naba Kishore Chandra Singh of Hindol. Bikrams set, which finished a close 2nd position, won the Sakti Physical Training Cup presented by Raja Bahadur Leeladhar Singh of Sakti.

A special prize for Drill was also awarded to Priyadarshini Girls’ Boarding House for their excellent display of PT. Pragyan Prakash of Bikrams won the Boys’ Obstacles Race. Similarly, Vashvi Kunjam of Rajputs won the Obstacle Race for Girls.
Upraj Sandoo V ‘F’ of Bikrams was adjudged as the Best Athlete of Junior Division Boys. The Best Athlete for Intermediate Division Boys was won by Puran Chandrakar, VII G of Ranas. Similarly, Vashvi Kunjam of VII B of Rajputs won the Best Athlete award for the Intermediate Division Girls. The Best Athlete for Senior Boys (Classes IX and X) was won by Sanju Ram Kadti of Class XD of Aryans. Similarly, the Best Athlete (Girls) was won by Sandhya Paikra of Rajputs.
It is heartening to note that Sarangarh Cup for the Best All Round Athlete was shared among three athletes namely Chandrabhan Bharti of Bikrams, Shashwat Sinha of Aryans and Roshan Markham of Rajputs. Briefly informing the august gathering about the importance of the Founder’s Day, Lt. Col. Avinash Singh Principal Rajkumar College, spoke about the shifting of the College from Jabalpur to Raipur on 15th November 1894 and gave away the Cups and Trophies to the winners. The anchors of the programme were Sakshi Sirmour and Govind Khetpal.
