Chhattisgarh NSO holds Swachhta Pakhwada

The National Statistical Office (Field Operations Division) Regional Office, Raipur, Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Government of India, is organising  Swachhta Pakhwada. It will conclude on July 15.

 

Under the campaign cleanliness drive has been organised in all the offices of the ministry and all field offices across the country.


Roshanlal Sahu, Deputy Director General, National Statistical Office said that Swachh Bharat Mission was started on October 2, 2014 in India for the purpose of cleanliness awareness.


He said the purpose of the campaign is to motivate the common citizens to keep cleanliness around their housing and workplace. At the same time, it is also the responsibility of the common citizen to contribute as much as possible for maintaining cleanliness in the environment around them and protection. He emphasized that the campaign should be continued continuously.


In Chhattisgarh, consumer price collection work is done in various urban and rural centers for this purpose. Among that price collection centers, Borsi is a centre where a cleanliness campaign program was organized on Wednesday with the aim of motivating the villagers and shopkeepers coming to the market to maintain cleanliness in the surroundings, homes and villages.

 

The plantation was conducted in the premises of Gram Panchayat Borsi in presence of Smt. Pushpa Jagannath Sahu, President of Janpad Panchayat, Fingeshwar. Members of Gram Panchayat, Borsi and Jai Chhattisgarh Mahila Swachchta Samooh of the village.

 

Later on, in the Government High School Borsi, a Swachchtaa Jaagrookta Abhiyaan was organized in the school campus jointly by the officials of National Statistical Office and Principal, teachers and students of the school.  Also, resolutions have been taken for maintaining cleanliness as well as protection of the environment by planting trees.
