CG NEWS: School in highly sensitive area of Chandameta

JAGDALPUR:

Chandameta Primary School, a sensitive area of Bastar district, has got its own school building for the first time.

The district administration taking an initiative in the sensitive area, inaugurated the new school building by the hands of the school students. Children became enthusiastic about inaugurating the school as they themselves did it.

Chandameta, was once affected by Naxal violence, is taking the steps for education. The land for the school building in Chandameta has been donated by the farmer Ayta Markam. The intention was to provide the children a conducive environment for better education in the village itself.  The district administration officials honoured him for donating the land.

Earlier, there was a time when it was impossible to run a school even in private buildings. The administration has now come up with a new school building.

The state government had restarted 314 schools which were closed due to Naxalite activities in Bastar division. But the state government took initiative to resolve it, states an official communication.

The administration said that the villagers have taken the responsibility of conserving and beautifying the building and this is a pleasant message of big change. The soldiers of the security forces have worked hard to make the building. Officials of the district administration said that on the demand of the villagers, the administration has provided facilities for road, school, anganwadi to Chandameta and other facilities. Earlier the school was being run in the camp.
