RAIPUR (CG): Chhattisgarh Minister of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister, Anila Bhediya on Monday emphasized on the importance of yoga in daily lives. It helps all to overcome physical and mental ailments.
She was addressing on the conclusion day of a seven-day yoga camp organized at Yog Bhawan, Fundahar in Raipur. She handed out certificates to all the trainees. 240 participants from the Durg division participated in the training. The Commission has trained 700 people as master trainers in the district.
She further added that the Social Welfare Department will always support the Commission's work towards improving the public’s health.
Gyanesh Sharma, Chairman, Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission said after the successful organization of camps in the Raipur, Bilaspur, Bastar, and Surguja divisions, the Commission organized its fifth yoga camp in the Durg division. Nearly 700 master trainers have been trained in Chhattisgarh through residential camps. These trainers will reach out to their respective areas and promote yoga among residents through free yoga classes.
He added on September 8, 2023, thousands of people will perform ‘Setu Bandhasana’ in Raipur for yoga promotion. Through it, the Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission will try to register its name in the Golden Book of World Records.
