RAIPUR: A blood donation camp was organized on Wednesday as part of various celebrations of the diamond jubilee year of Chhattisgarh’s oldest and largest Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Medical College.
60 people from the college donated blood in the camp organized by the Model Blood Bank of the Pathology Department in the telemedicine hall of Ambedkar Hospital.
The 17 senior medical teachers of Medical College Raipur also donated blood. It is for the first time that medical teachers participated in blood donation.
Professor, Head of the Department of Pathology, Dr. Arvind Neral led the donation camp by donating blood for the 124th time at the age of 63.
Dr. Arvind Neral said that on the occasion of completion of 60 years of the college, 60 people donated blood. The blood will be made available especially to the needy patients of Thalassemia and Sickle Cell.
