Raipur: Deputy Chief Minister and Public Works Minister Arun Sao called for action against officials for delay in completion of the work.

He was holding review of the departmental works at Nirman Bhawan located in Nava Raipur. He asked officials to complete all the construction works with good quality within the time limit. He said that now no extra time will be given to complete the work being done by the department. The work will have to be completed within the stipulated time in any case.

He asked to move the work forward by promptly resolving the problems being faced in completing the work. Secretary of Public Works Department Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, Chief Engineer K.K. Pipri and other senior officials were present.

Sao launched 'PWD Drishti' mobile app for geo-tagging of the works being done by the Public Works Department and monitoring the work progress.

Minister reviewed the progress of roads, bridges, culverts, road overbridges and flyovers under construction in the state as well as the progress of pending cases of integrated registration system, land acquisition and compensation.

He said that people face problems due to slow work. Improve the system and get the work done quickly. There should be no complaints of delay.

Sao said in the meeting that now there will be no extra time to complete the work. This will be acceptable only if there are very strong reasons. He asked the contractors to complete all the work within the time limit as per the agreement. Mr. Sao asked the officials to make prompt payment to the contractors as soon as the work is completed. There should be no unnecessary delay in this. Regular payments maintain the pace of work.
