Raipur, Chhattisgarh: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said the Government of India will work hand in hand with the Government of Chhattisgarh for the development of education. In the second phase of the PM Shri Yojana, more and more schools will be included.
He was addressing while inaugurating the PM Shri Yojana in Chhattisgarh. He said that PM Shri Yojana has been started in 211 schools of state. An amount of Rs. 2-2 crore per school will be spent and the schools will be developed into model schools. He said that 'Prime Minister School for Rising India' is the main basis of his vision of a developed India.
The guests visited the stalls set up on education related schemes including PM Shri Yojana at the venue. The Union Minister launched Digital Library at Kendriya Vidyalaya Dongargarh, Ramanujan Maths Park and Virtual Reality at Navodaya Vidyalaya.
Of the 211 schools selected, 193 schools are included at the elementary level and 18 schools are included at the secondary level. ICT will be provided to the students in these schools through digital classrooms. Students of these schools will be linked with vocational education and internship and entrepreneurship opportunities with local industries. The guests felicitated the students who achieved excellent achievements.
Pradhan said, “Seeing the confidence and knowledge level of the students, I can say that the tribal children of Chhattisgarh are far ahead of the children of other states. This is the biggest capital of the state.
He said that gardening should be done in every school, children should be taught sports and yoga along with nutrition so that children remain healthy.
The Central Government will start a government channel, which will include languages like Halbi, Gondi, Bhatri, Surgujia along with Chhattisgarhi.
He said that school children will be taken on a 10-day educational tour, in which they will get a chance to know and understand the forest, airport, Abujhmad area, textiles, folk arts like Pandwani closely.
