Raipur/Hyderabad: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has expressed deep condolences on the death of 7 people from Odisha, including 3 people from Janjgir-Champa district, in the collapse of an under-construction building in Bachupally area of Hyderabad.
Sai on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, “I pray to God to give peace to the souls of the deceased and provide strength to their families.”
“Chhattisgarh government stands with them in this hour of grief. Janjgir-Champa district administration has been asked to provide necessary assistance by gathering information about the families of the deceased in coordination with the local administration of Hyderabad,” he wrote.
As per reports, laborer Ram Yadav, his wife Geetabai and his 4-year-old son Himanshu, resident of Navapara in Janjgir-Champa district, died when the under-construction building collapsed due to heavy rains in Bachupally area of Hyderabad on Tuesday night. News of the death of 4 laborers from Odisha has also been received.
