SUKMA,CG: In a joint operation of security forces in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, seven persons were caught in suspicious situations revealed to be working in Naxal organisations on various posts.
Police said that based on inputs of presence of Naxalites from Jagargunda Area Committee, the joint party of District Force, DRG and 201, 206 Corps Cobra Corps as separate team conducted search operation in villages Chinnabodkel, Rayguda, Peddabodkel, Tumalpad, Timmapuram and surrounding areas for anti-Naxal campaign.
As the police party reached the forest hill, persons wearing plain clothes and carrying suspicious objects in their hands started to run and hide. On laying siege, seven persons were arrested.
The interrogation revealed that the arrest are Hemla Bhima Ayatu (Chinnabodkel RPC DAKMS President, prize of Rs 1 lakh), Madvi Bojji Dula (Village Chinnabodkel DAKMS President, reward of Rs 01 lakh), Kuhram Bojja Hunga (Chinnabodkel medical team member), Madvi Sukka Muda (village Chinnabodkel DAKMS member), Lakam Rama Ayatu (village Chinnabodkel Sangham member), Madvi Narsa Kona (Rayaguda DAKMS member) and 07. Kuhraam Dhurwa Hanada (Tumalpad Militia member), all from Chintalnar, district Sukma.
The police recovered 01 pieces of pipe bomb, Cordex wire, 05 pieces of BGL cell, 05 pieces of detonator, 01 gun camera flash, about 100 grams of gunpowder, 01 bundle of electrical wire, 07 pieces of electric switch, and 13 pieces of pencil cell.
The interrogation further revealed that they were to use the materials for causing harm to the security forces. A case was registered against all the Naxalites under Crime Number 04/2024, Section 4, 5 of the Explosive Substances Act in Chintalnar Police Station. They were produced before court and sent to jail on judicial remand.
