RAIPUR,CG: Chief General Manager, State Bank of India (SBI) Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh Circle Chandrashekhar Sharma met the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai at his residence office on Monday.
At the meeting, Chief Minister and Sharma discussed various topics related to the banking sector in the state.
Sai said that banks play an important role in making government schemes easily accessible to common people. Bank branches should be further expanded to the remote areas of the state, especially villages, so that more and more people in remote areas can become a part of the banking system.
Sai emphasized on increasing financial inclusion in the state and connecting the people of rural areas with banking literacy.
Sharma briefed the Chief Minister about the steps being taken by the State Bank of India in this direction and the future action plan.
