RAIPUR,CG: To felicitate the outstanding players of the state, the State Sports Investiture Ceremony for the year 2021-22 and 2022-23 is to be organized on August 29, 2024 on the occasion of National Sports Day. For this, applications were invited from players till July 10.

Till the last date, all the applications received in the Directorate and districts have been compiled at the Directorate level. The applications are being examined in the context of the rules by the application examination committee formed at the directorate level.

Till the last date, 61 applications were received for Shaheed Rajeev Pandey Award for the year 2021-22 and 85 applications for the year 2022-23. 46 applications for the year 2021-22 and 52 applications for the year 2022-23 were received for the Shaheed Kaushal Yadav Award. For Veer Hanuman Singh Award (Judge), 03 applications for the year 2021-22 and 04 for the year 2022-23 were received, for Veer Hanuman Singh Award (Instructor), 19 applications for the year 2021-22 and 27 applications for the year 2022-23 were received.

For the Shaheed Vinod Choubey Award, 22 applications were received for the year 2021-22 and 32 applications for the year 2022-23. For Shaheed Pankaj Vikram Award, 77 applications were received for the year 2021-22, 98 applications for the year 2022-23. For Chief Minister Trophy (Junior Category), 01 applications for the year 2021-22, 01 for the year 2022-23 and 04 applications for the year 2021-22, 04 applications for the year 2022-23 for Chief Minister Trophy (Senior Category) were received.

For cash awards, 275 applications for the year 2021-22 and 518 applications for the year 2022-23 have been received. Thus, 508 applications have been received for the year 2021-22 and 518 applications for the year 2022-23. A total of 1,329 applications have been received for both the years. After scrutiny is completed, it will be presented before the decision making committee at the government level.
