Bilaspur/Mungeli: Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao and Agriculture and Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Minister Ramvichar Netam laid emphasis on developing moral values among the children.
Congratulating and wishing all the teachers, Arun Sao said in ancient tradition, teachers have been greatly respected and they have been kept at the highest position. After parents, teachers are the ones who take the responsibility of taking children forward by imparting good values and good education.
Sao urged the teachers to work towards further enhancing the respect and pride that teachers have enjoyed in the society since ancient times. He inspired the students to work hard for their bright future and move ahead and bring glory to the country.
Netam paid tribute to former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and said that today revolution is taking place in every field including education. Teachers have an important contribution in bringing revolution in education. The way teachers teach has changed. “But along with it, we have to maintain its quality. Teachers also have the responsibility of developing moral values in children. Parents give birth to a child but it is the responsibility of teachers to shape his personality.”
He was addressing the Teacher’s Day was celebrated at Justice Tankha Memorial Rotary School for Special Children.
He honoured the teachers of the school with shawl and quince. ML Amar Aggarwal presided over. Netam announced an assistance of Rs 1 lakh to the school. He also gave 11,000 from the voluntary donation item.
Earlier, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao performed the Bhoomi Pujan of more than 80 works worth Rs 4.70 crore to be done by the Municipality in Lormi of Mungeli district.
Sao during participation in Shiksha Gaurav investiture ceremony organized at Kabir Bhawan pledged Rs 50 lakh for the repair and beautification of Kabir Bhawan. He felicitated 293 students, players and serving teachers as well as retired teachers. Sao announced a prize of Rs 5,000 for the colorful presentation of children.
