Officials asked to provide relief

SUKMA,CG: Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap has instructed the collectors of these districts to carry out relief work. He has issued instructions to all the sub-divisional revenue officers, tehsildars and naib tehsildars to complete all the preparations well in advance.

A large number of people have faced problems due to excessive rainfall in Narayanpur, Sukma, Bijapur, Dantewada. Many people have suffered damage to their homes due to waterlogging, while a large number of farmers have suffered crop loss.

Kashyap said that preventive measures should also be taken in time. He said that there is a risk of many seasonal diseases during the rainy season. In such a situation, along with spraying medicines, other necessary measures should be taken in collaboration with the health department. Disaster control centers at district headquarters and tehsil level should be kept active 24 hours. The staff related to dams, reservoirs and bridges remained alert all the time. He said that necessary arrangements should be made immediately in case of water logging.

He has given instructions to talk to the collectors of the districts affected by excessive rains and keep an eye on the situation so that there is no disruption in the ongoing agricultural work of Kharif season.
