Rain lashes state: Flooding in areas

* Dy CM survey’s flood-affected area, assess damage

RAIPUR,CG: Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma received a phone call from villagers in the Tuesday morning reporting that continuous rains in the Kholwa and Sighanpuri areas of the Sahaspur Lohara development block had created a flood-like situation.

Upon receiving the information, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, along with Collector Janmejay Mahobe, promptly reached the villages of Kholwa and Sighanpuri to inspect the flood-affected areas. He visited the region to check on the well-being of the people and listened to their concerns. The Deputy Chief Minister asked the Collector to expedite relief and rescue operations.

Sharma personally inquired about the welfare of the villagers and discussed their problems in detail. Understanding the hardships faced by the people, he assured them that the government would provide all possible assistance. He emphasized that providing relief and security to all the families affected by the flood is a top priority for the Vishnu Deov government. Deputy Chief Minister Sharma directed the survey of the flood-affected areas, stating that Vishnu dev Sai's government is fully prepared to assist those impacted. He assured that the damage would soon be assessed and that appropriate compensation and relief would be provided. He instructed officials to complete the survey as quickly as possible so that people could benefit from the relief efforts.

Deputy Chief Minister reiterated that aiding the flood victims is the government's priority and that all possible assistance will be extended during this time of crisis. He also assured that the immediate supply of relief materials would be ensured in the affected areas. He directed district administration officials to conduct a rapid survey in the flood-hit regions and ensure the swift delivery of essential relief supplies. He also emphasized the need for a detailed plan to provide assistance to all affected families.
