RAIGARH,CG: Chhattisgarh Finance Minister OP Chaudhary on Wednesday emphasized the pride in celebrating wrestling competitions on a large scale and announced plans to provide a wrestling mat from the MLA fund.
He was inaugurating the All India Wrestling Competition at Ramlila Ground in Raigarh. The competition began with Choudhary offering floral garlands on the photographs of Maharaj Chakradhar Singh and Lord Hanuman. He also introduced himself to all the participating players and extended his best wishes for their performance.
In his address, Choudhary expressed his joy at the participation in the 39th Chakradhar Samaroh. He highlighted that the Chakradhar festival is being organized on a grand scale this year under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. He noted that today’s wrestling competition features 275 wrestlers from across the country.
Choudhary congratulated the district administration and the wrestling association for the successful organization of the event. He also mentioned that action plans are underway to further develop wrestling in the district, providing opportunities for wrestlers to advance in the sport.
During the event, Choudhary honored International Referee Ajit Mann from Delhi and Yashvir Singh Dhaka from Haryana with maces. The ceremony was attended by Raigarh Collector Kartikeya Goyal, Wrestling Association member Dinesh Jaiswal, Rajanand Yadav, Shyam Singh Soni, Raman Yadav, Bhavika Pandey, Manoj Sahu, and other local public representatives.
