RAIPUR,CG,INDIA: Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao on Tuesday launched the theme song of ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ Fortnight at his residence office in Civil Lines, Raipur.
The song, underlining ‘Cleanliness is the supreme religion’, people have been made aware about cleanliness and increasing public participation in it.
Sao said in order to make the cities clean and beautiful, ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ (Cleanliness Fortnight) has been organized in all the urban bodies of the state from September 17 to October 2nd on the theme of ‘Nature Cleanliness-Sanskar Cleanliness’.
Sao said that there has been a culture of cleanliness in our country since ancient times. Munshi Premchand, Mahadevi Verma, Mahatma Gandhi and Bhimrao Ambedkar have also given the highest place to cleanliness.
A campaign is going on in Chhattisgarh regarding cleanliness as supreme religion. Different types of programs are running across the state. Social service organizations are making people aware. Besides, the safety of those engaged in sanitation work is also being taken care of through it. The aim is to make Chhattisgarh clean and healthy.
At the national level, on the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay on September 25th, Bharatiya Janata Party has made every official from the Chief Minister to visit a booth. And the party has decided to make at least 100 members in that booth.
