RAJNANDGAON,CG,INDIA: Amidst the controversy over adulteration in the Prasad of Tirupati Balaji temple situated on Tirumala, Rajnandgaon Collector Sanjay Aggarwal has asked the Food and Drug Administration Department to distribute the Prasad of major temples of the district after proper investigation.
Taking precaution, the Collector has given orders to the Food and Drug Department to make concrete arrangements for the distribution of Prasad during the upcoming Navratri festival and to investigate.
As per the order, along with Maa Bamleshwari, the prasad distributed in the major temples of the district will be examined. Apart from it, arrangements will also be made for packing and distributing Prasad in the temples. Prasad's samples will also be tested.
During the Navratri festival, there is a crowd of devotees in the temples of Dongargarh and other big places. Prasad will be checked before packing. The items used in making Prasad have also been asked to be examined properly.
Food safety officers have been instructed to conduct proper investigation as a precautionary measure. Collector Aggarwal is continuously monitoring this matter himself.
Prasad will be distributed on a large scale in all the temples during ‘Kwar Navratri’ starting from October 3. In such a situation, the administration has kept the Prasad system under its direct supervision. The administration has laid emphasis on strengthening the prasad distribution system without any controversy.
