Sai discusses Chhattisgarh’s development with PM

RAIPUR,CG,BHARAT: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday at New Delhi to discuss the state's development initiatives and efforts in Naxal eradication.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister highlighted key achievements in agriculture, skill development, and education over the past nine months.

Sai informed the Prime Minister about a recent successful operation against Naxalites in the Narayanpur-Dantewada district, where security forces neutralized 31 insurgents, marking a significant milestone in the state's fight against Maoism. Modi commended the bravery of the security forces involved in the operation, emphasizing its role in restoring peace and paving the way for further development.

He also expressed gratitude to Modi for approving eight lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, acknowledging the impact of this initiative on families in the state. He noted that these homes provide stability and security to many households, helping them realize their dream of ownership.

In discussing ongoing development projects, Sai emphasized the government’s focus on improving infrastructure, including roads, schools, and hospitals, particularly in Naxal-affected areas. He mentioned the state's commitment to creating employment opportunities and promoting rural development, aiming to integrate residents of these regions into the broader socio-economic framework.

Additionally, the Chief Minister outlined efforts to enhance skill development among youth in Bastar and tribal regions through various technical and vocational training programs. He highlighted the use of digital technology and advanced agricultural practices, which have increased productivity and income for farmers, aligning with the PM's vision of “Developed India 2047.”

In the education sector, Sai reported that children in tribal areas are receiving instruction in their mother tongue, resulting in improved educational outcomes. He stressed the importance of technical education to prepare students for future job markets.

Prime Minister Modi praised Chhattisgarh's development journey, describing it as an inspiration for other states. He assured Chief Minister Sai of continued support and cooperation in advancing the state’s progress.
