RAJNANDGAON/KANGRA,BHARAT: Gyaneshwari Yadav in 49 kilogram category won gold medal by lifting 186 kilograms at the Women’s and Men’s National Weight Lifting (Weight Lifting) Championship underway in Khelo India Academy Nagrota Bagwan, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh.
Yadav hails from Rajnandgaon District and is a trainee at Jai Bhavani Gymnasium. She has participated in Weight Lifter India Camp Patiala in sub, junior and senior categories.
President of District Weightlifting Association and Jai Bhavani Gymnasium, Ameet Ajmani said that Dnyaneshwari Yadav lifted 186 kg, the snatch was 82 kg while clean and jerk was 104 kg.
Azmani further said that earlier in the Commonwealth Games held in the year 2023, had lifted 176 kg to win the gold medal.
