Chhattisgarh Technical Education partners with i-Hub Gujarat

RAIPUR,CG,BHARAT: The Technical Education Department of Chhattisgarh and i-Hub Gujarat (Innovation Hub Gujarat) on Wednesday signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai attended the ceremony, highlighting the partnership as a historic step toward promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in the state.

The Chief Minister praised the successful model of i-Hub Gujarat, asserting that this agreement would mark the beginning of a new era for start-ups and innovation in Chhattisgarh. He noted that i-Hub Gujarat has effectively transformed the ideas and innovations of thousands of young entrepreneurs into commercial products.

Expressing his commitment to replicate the success in state, the Chief Minister stated that the partnership would offer essential resources, guidance, and opportunities for youth to advance in the field of innovation.

“This agreement not only enhances technical facilities but also creates a platform to empower youth by connecting them with mentors, investors, and industry experts,” he said, emphasizing that this collaboration positions Chhattisgarh as a potential leader in innovation and start-ups.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma added that young entrepreneurs with innovative ideas related to industry and business would receive financial support and access to working and living spaces, enabling them to commercialize their concepts. The partnership will also assist these youth in securing contracts with companies.

Dr. S. Bharathidasan, Secretary of the Department of Technical Education and Employment, announced that the MoU aims to cultivate an entrepreneurial ecosystem for the youth, with plans to establish a dedicated centre at the Government Engineering College. He also noted that Chhattisgarh boasts over 800 patents and has seen the launch of 1,724 start-ups. The agreement will remain in effect for three years.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Bharathidasan on behalf of the Technical Education Department, along with Banchhanidhi Pani, Commissioner of Technical Education, Government of Gujarat.
