BEMETARA,CG,BHARAT: A district-level women’s sports competition will be held on November 22, 2024 at Swami Vivekananda Stadium, Kanteli, Bemetara, under the aegis of the Sports and Youth Welfare Department.
Teams from the Navagarh, Saja, Berla, and Bemetara development blocks will participate in the event, which will feature various sports, including athletics, kho kho, volleyball, football, tug of war, hockey, wrestling, weightlifting, and badminton. Female players from two age categories are eligible to compete.
The event aims to empower women, promote health awareness, and provide a platform for sports talent from rural and urban areas alike. It emphasizes fostering self-confidence, leadership skills, and equal opportunities for women in sports, contributing to their holistic development.
