RAIPUR,CG,BHARAT: The Chhattisgarh Government has opened applications for the State Bravery Awards, which honour children for their extraordinary acts of courage. Applications will be accepted until January 2, 2025, at the District Office of the Women and Child Development Department.
The awards recognize five boys and five girls annually for demonstrating remarkable bravery in specific incidents. Each recipient will receive ₹25,000 and a citation.
The eligibility criteria are the applicants must be under 18 years of age on the date of the incident. The applicant must be a resident of Chhattisgarh. The courageous act must have occurred between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024. The award can only be received once.
The applicant should accompany the following documents, mainly, a detailed account of the brave act, certified by a competent authority, a certificate confirming the authenticity of the achievement, supporting documents such as newspaper clippings and a police diary related to the incident and two passport-size photographs, verified by a competent authority.
The awards aim to encourage and recognize exceptional acts of valour and intelligence displayed by children in the state. For more details, applicants can contact their district Women and Child Development Office.
