FM launches ‘Mahtari Shakti Loan Scheme’

RAIPUR,CG,BHARAT: Chhattisgarh Finance Minister OP Chaudhary has launched the Mahtari Shakti Loan Scheme, aimed at fostering economic empowerment for women in rural areas. The scheme was inaugurated from the minister’s residence office, with the Chairman of State Gramin Bank, Vinod Arora, present on the occasion.

Speaking about the initiative, Finance Minister Choudhary expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “This scheme is a significant step towards economically empowering mothers and sisters, enabling them to achieve self-reliance and financial stability”.

Chairman Vinod Arora highlighted the specifics of the scheme, explaining that women who have accounts in the Gramin Bank under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, where they receive financial benefits, will be eligible for loans of up to ₹25,000 without any formalities. The funds aim to support self-employment ventures.

The Mahtari Shakti Loan Scheme, introduced by the Rajya Gramin Bank, is designed to uplift women in rural areas by providing them with the financial resources needed to initiate or expand self-employment opportunities. The initiative seeks to build a strong foundation for women to contribute to the economic well-being of their families and society, fostering long-term self-reliance.
