RAIPUR,CG,BHARAT: The Chhattisgarh Council of Ministers on Wednesday decided to provide one-time relaxation in the prescribed criteria of height and chest to candidates for the recruitment of youth belonging to the Scheduled Tribe category of the state in Chhattisgarh Police.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai chaired the meeting at Secretariat (Mahanadi Bhawan), Nava Raipur on Wednesday.

In the direct recruitment process of Subedar, Sub Inspector Cadre, Platoon Commander in Chhattisgarh Police, the minimum height prescribed in the year 2024 is 163 cm and the chest without expansion is 78 cm and 83 cm when expanded. It has been decided to give relaxation only once for male candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe category. 

The Council of Ministers approved the draft of Chhattisgarh Appropriation Bill, 2024 for presentation in the Assembly for the second supplementary estimate year 2024-2025.

The draft of Chhattisgarh Assembly Members Salary, Allowances and Pension (Amendment) Bill, 2024 was approved.

It was decided to sign Memorandum of Understanding with National Dairy Development Board to encourage dairy entrepreneurship and increase milk collection and processing in the state of Chhattisgarh.

It would help to increase the processing capacity of the milk federation along with the use of new technology. With the increase in self-employment in the scheduled areas, the stimulation of milch animals will reduce the cost of milk production and along with the increase in milk productivity, a strong system can be established for the sale of milk to the milk producing farmers of the state.   

The draft of Chhattisgarh Land Revenue Code (Amendment) Bill, 2024 regarding amendment in Chhattisgarh Land Revenue Code, 1959 was approved.

The draft of Chhattisgarh Regularization of Unauthorized Development (Amendment) Bill, 2024 was approved.

Cabinet gave approval for a lump sum discount of 50 percent on the lifetime road tax of vehicles during the Auto Expo organized from January 15 to February 15, 2025 in the capital Raipur. All the dealers of the state have been asked to provide the benefit of the facility to the vehicle buyers.

Action plan for the implementation of Chhattisgarh Sports Promotion Scheme was approved for creating a strong environment for sports in Chhattisgarh, promoting sports culture and creating sports infrastructure for the players of the state from remote rural areas to the district headquarters.

Financial assistance will be provided to the concerned registered committees for promoting sports clubs in Chhattisgarh and organizing sports competitions for players to participate in the competitions. Chhattisgarh traditional games will be revived. Along with promoting Olympic Games in rural and urban areas, players of the state will be encouraged to participate in international level competitions by providing them 100% travel expenses and sports equipment facilities.
