RAIPUR,CG,BHARAT: The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Kalinga University, Raipur, hosted the Media Fest 2024, featuring a Drone Operation Workshop and a Photography Competition.
The Drone Workshop was led by Abhinandan Tiwari, Founder of Reelon Air Pvt. Ltd., along with Palash Joshi and Rajesh Kumar. They explained how drones work, their uses, legal aspects in India, and career opportunities. Participants also got hands-on training in operating drones.
The Photography Competition followed, with themes "Storytelling" and "Pattern Photography." Ms. Anshika Shinghai won the 1st Prize, Ms. Garima Agrawal the 2nd Prize, and Ms. Prasansha Patel the 3rd Prize.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dean of Arts and Humanities- Dr. Shilpi Bhattacharya and the closing session was presided over by ChiefProctor- Dr. A Vijayanand. The coordinators of the program, Dr. Yogesh Vaishnav, Dr. Sunil Tiger, Ms. Tuhina Chaubey and Khuswant Dangi said that more than 35 students participated. Training certificates were awarded to all the participants.
