Chhattisgarh celebrates Vajpayee's birth anniversary

RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai paid tribute to Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his 100th birth anniversary by garlanding his statue at Avanti Vihar Chowk in Raipur.

Marking Good Governance Day, the Chief Minister highlighted Atal’s immense contributions as a leader who deeply respected the aspirations of the people of Chhattisgarh.

“Atal ji's vision, leadership, and dedication to public service are enduring sources of inspiration,” said. “His progressive policies charted a new course for India's development, and Chhattisgarh continues to advance by fulfilling his dreams.” The Chief Minister urged citizens to imbibe Atal’s values and contribute to nation-building.

In a related event, Sai paid homage to Atal in village Saraitoli, Farsabahar development block, Jashpur district. He offered flowers, lit a ceremonial lamp, and visited a photo exhibition showcasing Atal Vajpayee’ life and contributions. The event was attended by Vice President of Surguja Area Tribal Development Authority and MLA Pathalgaon Gomti Sai, along with other public representatives and citizens.

Chhattisgarh is celebrating Good Governance Week in honour of Atal birth anniversary. Across the state, initiatives under various Central and State Government schemes are being implemented to benefit the public, reflecting the ideals of transparent and effective governance championed by the former Prime Minister.

Sai emphasized the importance of continuing to uphold Atal’s legacy by fostering development and good governance in every sphere.
