RAIPUR: Raipur Commissioner Mahadev Kawre held a meeting with officials on Monday to enhance the safety of medical workers. He directed that details of state laws protecting medical personnel and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, outlining punishments for violations, be displayed in local, Hindi, and English at prominent locations in medical institutions. The Commissioner instructed the formation of a Hospital Security Committee and a Violence Prevention Committee, led by senior doctors and local administrative officers, to plan and implement security measures. He emphasized controlling public access and strictly enforcing the visitor pass policy. Additionally, proper security for medical staff movement, especially during night shifts, was prioritized, with instructions for safe transportation, lighting, and security guards. CCTV surveillance systems were also to be reviewed and upgraded as necessary to ensure comprehensive coverage and safety.
