RAIPUR,INDIA: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday emphasized that Rajim Kumbh Kalpa serves as a platform to highlight Chhattisgarh’s glorious heritage to the world. He directed officials to ensure high standards of safety, cleanliness, and transportation for devotees, aiming to make the event an enduring identity of Chhattisgarh.
He was chairing a high-level review meeting at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan to oversee preparations and issued instructions to ensure a seamless experience for devotees and visitors at Rajim Kumbh Kalpa 2025.
He also stressed the importance of inter-departmental coordination to handle the expected influx of visitors efficiently. “Our collective effort should make this event an unforgettable experience that reflects our traditions and culture,” said Sai.
It will be held from February 12 to February 26, 2025, at the newly proposed 52-acre fair site in Rajim, known as the "Prayag of Chhattisgarh."
The key highlights are Shahi Snan, Ganga Aarti, and Sant Samagam, Maghi Punni Snan - The event begins on Maghi Purnima, February 12, a day considered auspicious for bathing in the confluence of the Mahanadi, Pairi, and Sondhur rivers.
Alongside spiritual activities, there will be daily cultural performances, fairs, departmental exhibitions, and bazaars, offering insights into the region's heritage. Janaki Jayanti (February 21) and Mahashivratri (February 26): Special Sant Samagams and celebrations are planned for these significant dates.
Additional Chief Secretary Subrata Sahoo presented a detailed plan through a presentation, outlining designated zones for various activities at the venue. Civic facilities, arrangements for saints, and rituals like Ganga Aarti and Shahi Snan were discussed to ensure flawless execution.
Managed by the Rajim Tourism Department, the 15-day Kumbh will see a congregation of saints and devotees from across the nation. Cultural and spiritual activities, such as fairs, Madai events, and Meena Bazaars, will add to the vibrant atmosphere.
