RAIPUR,INDIA: Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), one of India’s premier institutions for legal education, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the School of Law at Texas A&M University, marking the beginning of a comprehensive academic partnership. The collaboration aims to foster faculty and student exchanges, joint research initiatives, and the development of innovative academic programs.
Established in 2003, HNLU is the sixth national law university in India. The university is situated on a sprawling 70-acre campus in Nava Raipur, Chhattisgarh, and is equipped with state-of-the-art academic and residential facilities. HNLU’s Research Hub & Spoke (R-HaS) initiative operates through 25 research centres, spearheading pioneering projects such as Lex Osmose, Sui Generis, HAAI, and HNLU Press.
Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) V.C. Vivekanandan said, “This collaboration with Texas A&M University is a significant milestone for HNLU. It aligns with our mission to provide global exposure to our students and faculty through initiatives like HEXA and H-VISA..”
Prof. Srividya Ragavan, Director of International Programs and Distinguished Jurist Professor at HNLU, remarked, “We are thrilled to partner with HNLU. This agreement lays the foundation for meaningful student and faculty exchanges, collaborative teaching, and ground-breaking research initiatives. We eagerly anticipate welcoming HNLU students to Texas A&M and vice versa.”
The key focus areas of MoU are faculty exchange for Joint Teaching and Research, facilitating cultural and educational exchange by encouraging students to enroll in programs at both universities, and option for future agreements.
