RAIPUR,INDIA: In response to directives from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, a technical committee has been established in Chhattisgarh to monitor and provide recommendations on Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV) infection.
The committee will focus on developing guidelines and action plans for the prevention, protection, and awareness of HMPV, along with strategies for future measures.
The five-member team, chaired by Dr. S.K. Pambhoi, Director of Epidemic Control, includes Dr. Khemraj Sonwani, Deputy Director, Dr. Dharmendra Gahwai, Deputy Director, Akanksha Rana, State Advisor, ISDP, and Chayanika Nag, State Advisor, ISDP.
The committee will regularly submit its findings and suggestions to the Health Department, ensuring continuous monitoring and proactive measures to manage HMPV infection in the state.
