RAIPUR,INDIA: Dr. Arvind Neral was awarded the Brihanmaharashtra Jeevan Gaurav Samman at the inaugural session of the annual convention of the Brihanmaharashtra Mandal Intermediate Association, New Delhi.
The honour was presented by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai at the Sant Dnyaneshwar Auditorium of the newly built Maharashtra Mandal in Chaubey Colony.
Dr. Neral was recognized for his tireless work in the medical and social fields, driven by a spirit of selfless service. He received an attractive logo featuring artwork of Shivaji Maharaj, a citation in Marathi, a shawl, quince, and flowers.
Dr. Neral was selected for the honour due to his commendable social work over the last four decades. As the founder chairman of Ashray Lions Old Age Home in Shyam Nagar for the past 25 years, he has significantly contributed to elderly care. He holds a record for donating blood 125 times and has promoted blood donation extensively. Additionally, Dr. Neral has made remarkable contributions to the welfare of mentally handicapped children through institutions like Akanksha.
Over 400 of his articles have been published in various newspapers and magazines, and he has authored books such as 'Noor Ki Bunde,' 'Maa,' and 'Tum Mujhe Khoon Do.' Dr. Neral has organized numerous educational, literary, and cultural activities for youth and has conducted several national and international programs. He has served as a medical teacher at the Medical College in Raipur for 41 years.
