RAIPUR,INDIA: As part of the National Voters' Day celebrations, an oath will be administered to voters across the country, encouraging them to exercise their franchise in all elections. The year marks the 15th National Voters' Day, observed annually on January 25 following the directives of the Election Commission of India.
For states and offices observing a holiday on Saturday, January 25, the oath will be administered on Friday, January 24, at 11 a.m. In locations where offices remain open on Saturday, the program will proceed as scheduled on January 25.
The State Government’s General Administration Department has issued a circular to ensure compliance with the Election Commission's instructions. The circular, addressed to department secretaries, divisional commissioners, collectors, and heads of departments, directs that the swearing-in ceremony be organized in all government offices and educational institutions.
The oath-taking ceremony aims to reinforce the commitment of citizens to participate actively in the democratic process by voting in all elections.
