CG: Drivers to be honored on Sarathi Day for exemplary conduct

RAIPUR,INDIA: As part of the National Road Safety Month, the Inter-Departmental Lead Agency (Road Safety) Chhattisgarh will organize the "Sarathi Samman" program on January 24, 2025. The initiative, running from January 1 to 31, aims to recognize and honor drivers who demonstrate excellent conduct and adherence to road safety rules.

The drivers being nominated for the awards have been selected based on their adherence to traffic rules, accident-free records, and responsible behavior while driving. This includes drivers who do not consume alcohol or drugs while behind the wheel, maintain their vehicles properly, assist those injured in road accidents, and have a strong understanding of traffic regulations.

The program is intended to inspire and encourage responsible driving, boosting the self-confidence of the honored drivers and motivating others to follow road safety norms. Along with government, non-government, and business organizations, private drivers—including those operating buses, taxis, autos, and personal vehicles—will also be recognized for their contributions to road safety.

The recognition ceremony on Sarathi Diwas will also honor the efforts of private vehicle drivers who support their families and communities through transportation, offering them gratitude and well-wishes for their contributions to road safety.
