RAIPUR,INDIA: In this world of uncertainty, darkness, and chaos defending ourselves and the ones we love is of utmost priority. Self-defense training is not just about learning to protect yourself; it’s about building confidence, awareness, and the courage to face any situation. 

Kalinga University, Naya Raipur organized Kawach-Self Defense awareness workshop on the campus for the students. The workshop aimed to empower participants with essential self-defense skills and enhance their personal safety awareness.

Ms. Harsha Sahu, a self-defense expert, was the event's Chief Guest, and she demonstrated a live strategy for preventing similar events. Sena Medal recipient Col. NC Gupta was the distinguished guest.

The event was organized under the supervision of Dean of Students’ Welfare (DSW) of Kalinga University in association with Pujya Chhattisgarh Sindhi Panchayat (PCSP).  

The special guest of the event was Mahesh Daryani, President of PCSPalong withMr. Amit Chimnani, State Media Incharge of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Balram Ahuja, General Secretary of PCSP and others. 

The event was managed by Anil Jotsinghani. 

Ms. Harsha Sahu, Self Defense Expert, Black Belt International Karate Player, National Awardee, and Golden Book of World Record Holder gave live demonstrations of several important techniques to the National and International students.  NCC cadets of Kalinga University demonstrated the Martial Art moves. The methods used and the thorough explanations were appreciated by the students. 

The students learned the importance of self-defense, and many on-the-spot rewards were presented, making the event more interesting and interactive. National and international students were awarded Kawach Medals and Certificates for answering rapid questions about self-defense tactics.

Vibha Chandrakar, Incharge DSW, Sheikh Abdul Kadir, Deputy DSW, Ms. Nikita Joshi, Assistant DSW office, Dr. D Kalidoss, Director Sports, Ms. HarshaSharma, NSS Program Officer, Ms. Tuhina Choubey, Ms. Jesika Minj, Ms. Ayushi Kuchanwar, Ms. Sneha Mehto, and others were among those present at the event.
