RAIPUR,INDIA: Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao has strongly criticized the Congress ahead of the upcoming urban body elections, accusing the party of deceiving the public with unfulfilled promises.
He was reacting to the Congress manifesto released on Tuesday.
He claimed that during its five-year tenure, Congress failed to deliver on any of the 36 promises made in its manifesto. He dismissed their upcoming manifesto as a "bundle of lies" aimed at misleading voters once again.
He emphasized that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has a track record of delivering on its commitments with a clear timeline. He pointed out that promises under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, such as housing schemes and farmers' bonuses, have been fulfilled as per schedule. He assured that the newly announced "Atal Vishwas Patra" would also be implemented in the same manner.
Highlighting the party’s dedication to development, Sao stated that the state government has declared this year as the “Atal Nirman Varsh” in honour of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth centenary.
As part of the initiative, Atal Campuses are being developed in all urban bodies. He reiterated that the BJP will ensure the promises made in the ‘Atal Vishwas Patra’ are fully implemented, with a focus on urban cleanliness and infrastructure development.
